Jolinar and Martouf: The Human Cost of Symbiosis
Jolinar of Malkshur and Martouf reveal that symbiosis could create love, grief, and divided identity as well as political alliance. Pursued by a Goa’uld assassin, Jolinar entered Samantha Carter without consent because survival left little time for explanation. She died protecting Carter, but fragments of her memories, emotions, and experiences remained, including her bond with Martouf and his symbiote Lantash.
