Niam and the Discovery of the Asuran Threat
Niam was the first Asuran to offer Atlantis something other than open hostility. Part of a group seeking ascension, he believed that the emotional and spiritual limitations in Asuran programming could be overcome with help from the descendants of the Ancients. This episode examines his cooperation with Elizabeth Weir’s team, his explanation of Asuran origins, and the danger hidden within his nanite body. Niam provided access to information about the collective and appeared willing to leave Asuras, but his behavior revealed that the aggressive directives in his programming had not been overcome.
