The Battle over Earth pitted SG-1 and Bra’tac against two Ha’tak motherships carrying enough force to destroy the planet. Earth possessed no operational space fleet, no orbital shield, and no weapon capable of engaging the vessels directly. This episode reconstructs the sabotage mission aboard the ships commanded by Apophis and Klorel. Using a recovered gate address, SG-1 boarded the invasion force before it arrived, gathered intelligence, and planted explosives near critical systems. Bra’tac’s intervention provided transport, Jaffa knowledge, and a chance to escape, while Skaara’s resistance inside Klorel complicated the enemy command structure. The plan succeeded because the motherships were brought close enough for the destruction of one to consume the other. SG-1 escaped in death gliders moments before both vessels exploded.
