Anubis’s Last Offensive and the Battle of Dakara
Dakara became the center of three simultaneous wars: the Free Jaffa fought for independence, the Replicators advanced across the galaxy, and Anubis sought an Ancient device capable of remaking life itself. This episode examines the battle for the weapon, which could deconstruct matter on a galactic scale when its energy was transmitted through the Stargate network. Samantha Carter, Jacob Carter, Selmak, and Ba’al worked to recalibrate the device so it would target Replicators rather than ordinary life. Free Jaffa forces defended the site while Ba’al’s divided loyalties placed every plan at risk. The activated pulse passed through connected gates and destroyed the Replicator threat, but Jacob and Selmak did not survive the campaign. Anubis then intended to use the same machine to erase life and rebuild the galaxy according to his design. His offensive ended only when Oma Desala confronted him on the ascended plane, binding both of them in an unending struggle.
