The Battle of Asuras: Atlantis, Wraith, and Travelers Unite
The Battle of Asuras united enemies who understood that no faction could defeat the Asuran war machine alone. Atlantis battlecruisers, Traveler vessels, and Wraith hive ships assembled against a planet defended by Ancient-style warships, drones, and a population able to rebuild from nanites. This episode reconstructs the coalition and Rodney McKay’s strategy for destroying the Asurans at their physical foundation. A human-form Replicator known as FRAN entered the collective and caused nanites across the planet to converge on one location. At the same time, allied ships fought to keep the Asuran fleet occupied while the mass grew beyond the planet’s ability to contain it. The resulting collapse drew the Replicators inward and destroyed Asuras. The victory required cooperation among Atlantis, Todd’s Wraith faction, and the Travelers, but none of those alliances erased older conflicts.
